Netgen Layouts are your web developer and content editor’s best friend. A unique toolset to easily build, manage and maintain the structure and content for complex websites.

Currently, Layouts come with 3 integrations, which enable manual or dynamic content fetching from one or more repositories. Additionally, developers can integrate Layouts with other content repositories with PHP or consume external REST APIs.
With layout mapping, you can seamlessly manage multiple landing page variants. Prepare several layouts, map them to a specific landing page and easily switch between them for quick A/B testing or a quick campaign change. Map one layout to multiple objects and pages inside a CMS based on page content type, language, URL parameter, time span. Even conditions like user roles, screen size, user geo-location are easy to implement.
Parts of the interface that are repeated on several layouts can be placed in a so-called Shared Zone, which then can be reused/linked in multiple layouts. Think of headers, footers, pre-footers, right columns, etc.
Easily manipulate content inside the preview, with all changes immediately visible. Change block content and parameters is also available through preview mode. The editor's deeper functionality allows you to add/edit layouts and configure blocks, create new types of blocks or new parameters for existing blocks. Use predefined block sets to quickly build pages with content (title, richtext) or pull content directly from a CMS or an e-commerce platform and select a predefined showcase inside each layout.
Block items, fetched from the backend system (like CMS or e-commerce) are hideable in Layouts, whether that content is hidden in the repo or not. If the content is hidden in the backend repo Layouts will respect that. Additionally, it is possible to configure a time span when the item will be visible.
Layouts users can clear reverse proxy caches (e.g. Varnish) for each layout and block with a single click. This is very useful when changing a layout which is used by thousands of pages. It is also possible to configure each block to be rendered as an ESI tag with specified TTL.
Each layout can be adapted for each site language. You can translate titles, labels and text directly placed in a layout. Depending on the configuration, even some of the parameters can be adjusted for each translation version.
