Web Summer Camp 2018 is slowly but surely closing in. We have defined the tracks, finished the speaker selection process, and are working on the track programs and extras – read on!
We closed Call for Papers at the end of March and thanks to 130+ workshop submissions had a tough and challenging job of selecting among many excellent proposals. All in all, this year we will have more tracks, speakers, and workshops than ever. In short:
- eZ track has been held ever since the summer camp beginnings in 2012
- The 2nd PHP track returns again
- UX track will be held for the 3rd time already
- JS track will be conducted for the 2nd time
- The new Biz track will premiere this year (keep reading for more info)
The list of speakers and workshops is finalized for PHP, UX, and JS tracks. We are still working on the eZ and Biz tracks which should be concluded during May.
New topic for web business leaders!
This year, we are spreading the horizons once again and introducing the new track intended for web project leaders and decision makers imagined as a peer discussion group – in short, Biz track. It should interest you if you are a CxO in a web agency or a person responsible for web strategy in your company.
The track is thought up as a two-day event where you’ll have the opportunity to meet, exchange experience, and learn from your peers from all over the world. The number of participants will be limited to 20 people to ensure high quality.
During those 2 days, discussion leaders and our friend Janus Boye as the chief moderator will keep the pace, ask provocative questions, and involve others to participate actively.
There is also a good reason to stay for the 3rd day (31st August) – attend the J. Boye CMS Expert Group session, it is included in the price of your #websc Biz ticket. We allocated a few Early Bird tickets for the Biz track which you can now purchase.
Early Bird tickets almost sold out
Not many Early Bird tickets are left. In fact, Early Birds for JS track are already sold out. The number of Regular tickets will also be limited as we only have workshops – it is necessary to limit the number of participants per workshop to keep the quality. So, if you would like to participate in our Camp this year, do not wait for too long. Last year, we were sold out by the end of May!
A reminder of what your ticket includes:
- 3 days of hands-on workshops (Biz track: 2 days of discussions + 1 day CMS expert group)
- Lunch every workshop day
- Dinner/Light meal every workshop day
- 3 coffee breaks every workshop day
- Welcome drinks on August 28th
- Outing on September 1st
- Morning and after-workshop social events
- Goodie bag
If you need to persuade your boss, we have prepared a letter for them. Even better, your boss has a good reason to come as well now – the Biz track. :)
All 3+ groups, please contact us at [email protected] for a group discount. For any questions regarding the tickets, please write to us at [email protected].
Make a small vacation out of #websc
Once you register, you will also get a 10% discount for the venue hotels, Lone and Eden, as well as Amarin Resort (all are part of the Maistra group). You have an opportunity to bring along a companion because, unlike other conferences, Web Summer Camp has a Companion track which offers a unique experience to your spouse, girl/boy-friend, teenage kid, friend, etc.
The Companion track includes all social events as the regular ticket (coffee breaks, lunch, dinner, outing on the 4th day). The program is in the making and we will soon announce the schedule and the price. Check out the offer from last year.
A big thanks to our sponsors...

We are very proud to say that lot of our sponsors have been sponsoring us for years. Thank you, eZ Systems (Platinum), Keyteq, Prime, and Code4hire (Gold), and CJW Network (Silver).
We are appreciative of our new sponsors who recognized the potential of our event: Amazon Web Services (Platinum), Platform.sh and momondo (Bronze).
We also want to acknowledge our friends who are helping us with the event in other ways: Agent.sh, CISEx, and J.Boye.
Last but certainly not least, our friends and co-organizers at Salsa Adria Productions who have been with us since the beginning and have been doing an outstanding logistics job.
