There is no web or web app today that is not utilizing some sort of caching. This makes caching libraries ubiquitous, which means that every framework has its own caching library. PHP FIG folks jumped into that and formed PSR-6 and PSR-16. Let’s check these caching standards more in detail.

With the appearance of the PSR-7 standard, PHP language received the first standardised way of interacting with HTTP messages and URIs. Symfony supported it through the PSR-7 Bridge. That triggered the appearance of some other standards like PSR-18, which we will discuss in this blog post.
