Smashing San Francisco

Smashing San Francisco

Ivo Lukač

Earlier this month we attended Smashing conference in San Francisco. An opportunity emerged to participate so we seized it. The conference was above average in the quality of talks and the city was, simply put, awesome. We enjoyed the trip despite the 9-hour time difference and a strong jet lag.

For the fifth year in a row, we are organizing Summer Camp for web developers and other web professionals. Over time, our event grew organically. Earlier this year, when it was announced that eZ Conference 2015 is going to be held in New York, I had mixed feelings about the place of business. This is a short review of Vjeran and me visiting dConstruct conference in Brighton last week, with a few related remarks. The conference is a think-outside-the-box kind of event, an inspiration and a chance to see what’s around the corner. The theme of the conference was “Designing the Future”.

A few Smashing days in Oxford

A few Smashing days in Oxford

Ever since Vitaly Friedman announced that last years’ Freiburg event is to be reenacted and the speakers lineup started to form, it was clear the event would be, pun intended, smashing. The lovely city of Oxford was chosen for the venue so it was even harder to say no to such a chance to learn and meet.
